About the Role :
We are looking for a Backend IoT Engineer who is passionate about building high-performance backend systems, integrating with IoT ecosystems, and solving complex challenges at scale. You will be part of a core engineering team responsible for creating solutions that process real-time telemetry data across multiple physical and cloud-based Responsibilities :
- Develop and optimize backend services using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
- Build APIs and data models that support real-time telemetry ingestion and transformation.
- Work with IoT communication protocols such as Modbus and BACnet for device-level
integration.
Use Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployments.Conduct packet-level debugging using tools like Wireshark to diagnose complex connectivity issues.Implement secure and scalable solutions on Azure IoT (preferred), AWS IoT, or GCP IoT.Ensure observability through metrics, logs, traces, and monitoring dashboards.Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and design sessions.Mentor junior engineers, encouraging best practices in software Expertise Required :Programming : Java 17+, Spring Boot, API-driven systems.IoT Protocols : Modbus, BACnet, MQTT.Cloud Platforms : Azure IoT (preferred), AWS IoT, or GCP IoT.Containerization & Orchestration : Docker, Kubernetes.Observability : Familiarity with ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.DevOps : CI / CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code Skills :Excellent debugging and problem-solving ability.Strong collaboration skills for working with cross-functional and distributed teams.Ability to break down complex problems and explain solutions clearly.Passion for mentoring and sharing This Role is Important :This role directly impacts the ability to process petabyte-scale IoT data in real-time, powering
