Technical Architect - ServiceNow

Key Responsibilities

Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions across multiple modules (ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, SecOps, CSM, etc.).

Serve as the technical authority for the ServiceNow platform, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and IT strategy.

Design and maintain the ServiceNow data model, including CMDB structure, integrations, and data flows.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and convert them into high-level solution designs.

Define and enforce governance, best practices, and coding standards for ServiceNow development.

Oversee platform integrations using REST, SOAP, MID Servers, JDBC, APIs, and other mechanisms.

Evaluate and implement new ServiceNow capabilities and plugins to support evolving business needs.

Conduct technical design reviews, provide guidance to developers, and ensure quality assurance in delivery.

Partner with IT leadership, Product Owners, and cross-functional teams to drive platform adoption and maturity.

Stay current with ServiceNow releases, patches, and industry trends to recommend platform improvements.

Qualifications Required :

Bachelor / master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

12+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 6+ years in ServiceNow architecture and development.

Proven expertise in multiple ServiceNow modules — especially ITSM and ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management).

Strong understanding of ServiceNow data model, flow design, CMDB, and integration architecture.

Experience in enterprise integrations with third-party systems (e.g., monitoring, identity, cloud platforms).

Solid knowledge of JavaScript, Glide API, AngularJS, and ServiceNow scripting frameworks.

Hands-on experience with platform upgrades, domain separation, and multi-instance strategies.

In-depth understanding of ITIL processes and how they align with ServiceNow.

Preferred :

ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA), Certified System Administrator (CSA), and Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications.

Experience in ServiceNow Cloud Observability, HRSD, SecOps, or GRC.

Knowledge of DevOps, CI / CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.

Experience working in large, multi-vendor enterprise environments.
