In India, the company started its operations in 1985 and was known as Qualcrete India Limited. In 1987, Qualcrete India Limited forged an alliance with Sika AG, Switzerland and was renamed as Sika Qualcrete Limited. In 2002, Sika AG, Switzerland acquired 100% stake in the company and since then the company has been rechristened as Sika India Pvt. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Sika AG.

Sika Automotive & Industry Business delivers innovative solutions to the world's leading manufacturers and service providers in automotive OEM, commercial vehicles, automotive aftermarket, marine vessels, renewable energy, sandwich panels, industrial equipment, HVAC, home and commercial appliances, modular building, facades and fenestration. Sika India services direct customers and distributors and stay close to them via the central sales & marketing office in Pune, and a pan India sales team presence.

Title : Sales Manager



Department: Automotive & Industry



Base Location: Bangalore



Responsible for: Karnataka



Reports To: National Business Manager – Appliance & Manufacturing



Broad Functions and Purpose of Position:

Sales Manager is tasked with maximizing revenue, material margin, and increased customer penetration with Appliances & Manufacturing customers in Karnataka, India. He/she must deeply understand customer needs, products, and applications to devise effective sales strategies, identify new opportunities, forge strategic partnerships, and drive sales growth. The primary focus is on developing new business opportunities while also managing existing businesses, offering technical and commercial support to drive sales growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Planning

•Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company objectives.

•Identify target industries, key accounts, and growth opportunities.

•Forecast sales volumes, revenues, and profitability.

•Plan product launches and market penetration initiatives.

Business Development

•Prospect and acquire new industrial customers across sectors (industrial equipment e.g. elevators, gas meters etc. HVAC, Home Appliance, Industrial Machinery, Solar, Wind, E-mobility,)

•Build relationships with OEMs, distributors, and channel partners.

•Expand geographic reach and segment coverage.

•Negotiate long-term supply contracts and agreements.

Accounts & Relationship Management

•Manage existing customer accounts and ensure repeat business.

•Understand client technical requirements and match them with product offerings.

•Provide customized solutions to improve customer processes and cost-effectiveness.

•Handle escalations, contract renewals, and credit management

Market Intelligence & Competition Tracking

•Monitor industry trends, competitor products, and pricing strategies.

•Collect customer feedback for continuous improvement.

•Identify opportunities for product diversification or new applications.

•Share insights with product management and R&D teams

Technical & Commercial Support

•Provide product demonstrations, trials, and application guidance.

•Support clients with technical documentation and compliance requirements.

•Work closely with market field engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.

•Ensure value selling rather than price-based competition.

Sales Operations & Administration

•Manage quotations, and pricing approvals.

•Oversee order processing, delivery schedules, and inventory coordination.

•Ensure timely follow-up for collections, and adherence to payment terms.

•Maintain CRM records and prepare sales performance reports.

Problem Solving & Issue Resolution:

•Handle client escalations efficiently and ensure quick resolution.

•Proactively identify potential risks and take corrective actions

Qualifications/Experience/Education:

Education:

•Masters/bachelor's degree in engineering from a reputed institute. MBA preferred.

Experience:

•Minimum 7-8 years of experience in B2B Industrial products, preferably in specialty chemicals

Skills:

•Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of industrial products market trends, Karnataka, India geography and consumer behaviour.

•Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

•Analytical mindset with the ability to drive data-driven decisions.

•Ability to build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.

Qualifications

Education:
