Technology Leader(10-18 years)

About the Role :

As the Technology Lead for our learning app, you will define and drive the engineering vision to build a world-class learning platform that empowers millions of educators across India. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of teacher capability development by leading our technical strategy, modernizing systems, and ensuring scalability and reliability at every level.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership & Strategy

Define and implement a comprehensive engineering strategy aligned with the organization’s mission and growth objectives.

Drive platform modernization and architectural evolution to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.

Direct the architecture and deployment of all AI / ML models in the future. (e.g., LLMs for the chatbot, recommendation engines for learning paths).

Oversee key technology stack decisions and guide long-term product infrastructure planning.

Collaboration & Delivery

Partner closely with Product, Design, and Business teams to deliver transformative learning experiences.

Lead cross-functional initiatives that enable innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.

Manage and align external engineering partners, ensuring delivery quality and adherence to timelines.

Engineering Excellence

Champion best practices in software development — including clean code, testing, security, and performance optimization.

Establish and monitor key engineering metrics (delivery velocity, uptime, reliability, and quality indicators).

Ensure robust DevOps practices, CI / CD pipelines, and efficient cloud infrastructure management.

Culture & Leadership

Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing engineering culture.

Mentor and guide internal contributors and partner teams to build strong technical capabilities.

Communicate engineering progress, challenges, and insights effectively to senior leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology.

10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years leading cross-functional projects or teams.

Proven success in scaling technology platforms through rapid growth phases.

Strong background in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems design.

Technical expertise in Machine Learning or deploying AI / LLM-powered features in production environments.

Demonstrated experience in aligning technical strategy with business goals and user needs.

Track record of implementing engineering best practices and maintaining high quality standards.

Experience in education technology or e-learning domain is must.

Bonus Skills

Hands-on experience with :

Backend : Python, Django, Django REST Framework

Frontend : Flutter, Next.js, React.js

Database : MySQL

Infrastructure & Tools : AWS, Celery, Firebase
