Job Summary :
The Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician is responsible for performing inspections on materials, components, and structures using various NDT methods to detect flaws or irregularities without causing damage. The technician ensures compliance with all safety standards required in Oil & Gas plants.
Perform NDT inspections using methods such as :
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
- Radiographic Testing (RT)
- Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
- Visual Testing (VT)
- Post-Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT)
- Radiographic Film Interpretation (RTFI)
Key Responsibilities :
Interpret test results and generate detailed inspection reports.Calibrate and maintain NDT equipment to ensure accuracy.Follow safety procedures and work instructions related to NDT processes.Maintain proper documentation and records in accordance with applicable codes and standards (ASNT, ISO, API, ASME, etc.).Ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards.Participate in internal audits and quality improvement initiatives.Knowledge of the work permit system must.Requirements : Education :
Diploma in Mechanical engineeringCertifications :
ASNT Level II certification (or equivalent) in one or more NDT methodsExperience :
Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in NDT practice.Experience in oil & gas industry preferred.Skills :
Strong understanding of NDT techniques and industry standardsGood attention to detail and analytical skillsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsProficient in using NDT tools and equipmentJob Location : Kuwait
