Overview :

We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer who thrives on architecting and executing migration projects, specifically transitioning codebases from PHP to Python. The ideal candidate enjoys problem-solving, improving legacy systems, and working collaboratively in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Participate in migrating existing PHP applications to Python, ensuring functionality, performance, and scalability.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Python.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, QA, and DevOps, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Analyze existing PHP codebases to define migration strategies and identify potential challenges.
  • Develop and execute tests to ensure successful migration with minimal disruption.
  • Optimize applications for performance and scalability post-migration.
  • Document migration processes and architecture changes for team knowledge sharing.

    • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s / Master's degree in Computer Science.
  • Strong programming experience in PHP with demonstrated ability to understand and work within legacy codebases.
  • Proficiency in Python with experience in application development.
  • Experience with software migration or refactoring projects.
  • Familiarity with database systems, API design, and version control tools (e.G., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in an Agile / Scrum environment and collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Good communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
