The Tech Support Engineer will provide comprehensive technical support to internal teams, ensuring seamless operations of critical infrastructure, servers, networks, and endpoints. This role requires strong fintech domain knowledge combined with hands-on expertise in infrastructure troubleshooting and resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Server Management
Monitor and maintain server health, uptime, and performance across on-premises and cloud environments
Diagnose and resolve server-related issues including hardware failures, disk space management, and service outages
Perform routine server maintenance, updates, patches, and security configurations
Manage backups, disaster recovery procedures, and ensure business continuity
Network & Connectivity Support
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues affecting user productivity
Configure and maintain network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
Monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, and identify bottlenecks
Support VPN, remote access, and secure connectivity for distributed teams
Endpoint & End-User Support
Provide L1 / L2 technical support for laptop, desktop, and mobile device issues
Resolve hardware failures, software conflicts, and performance optimization
Install, configure, and manage operating systems and applications
Maintain IT asset inventory and hardware lifecycle management
Fintech-Specific Support
Understand fintech application requirements and infrastructure dependencies
Support compliance and security-related infrastructure configurations
Maintain awareness of fintech regulatory requirements and data protection standards
Troubleshoot issues specific to payment systems, lending platforms, and financial applications
Documentation & Process Improvement
Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides
Document recurring issues and implement preventive solutions
Contribute to continuous improvement of IT support processes
Support knowledge transfer and team training initiatives
Security & Compliance
Adhere to IT security policies, data protection regulations, and audit requirements
Support security patches and vulnerability management
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and customer data
Assist with compliance audits and regulatory assessments
Required Qualifications
Experience & Technical Skills
4–5 years
of hands-on experience in IT technical support or infrastructure management
Strong expertise in
server administration and troubleshooting
(Windows / Linux)
Advanced proficiency in
network troubleshooting
(TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls)
Experience with
endpoint management
(laptops, desktops, mobile devices)
Fintech or BFSI domain knowledge
– Understanding of financial systems, payment platforms, or lending applications
Experience with
cloud platforms
(AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable
Knowledge of
backup and disaster recovery
procedures
Familiarity with
ticketing systems
(Jira) and IT service management
Soft Skills
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Patient and customer-focused approach to end-user support
Ability to prioritize multiple issues and manage under pressure
Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
Education
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
ITIL Foundation certification is an advantage.
