Data Pipeline Architect

Role : Senior Data Engineer Location : Remote

Job Type : Full-time

Shift time : Open to work in EST shift (5PM to 2AM IST)

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex data integration solutions using Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC).

Develop, document, unit test, and maintain high-quality ETL applications that meet customer expectations and adhere to best practices.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members through code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.

Collaborate closely with project managers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, define technical solutions, and ensure successful project delivery.

Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data pipeline by implementing appropriate data validation and cleansing mechanisms.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex data integration issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.

Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data integration technologies and best practices.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of our data integration processes and methodologies.

Required Skills

5+ years of experience in IT with a focus on Data Management.

1+ year of experience as a Lead handling both technical and non-technical activities.

4+ years of experience with Informatica products.

2+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC.

Must have implemented at least one full lifecycle IDMC projects.

Hands-on experience with Informatica CDI.

Must have led large projects involving large teams.

Experience integrating external business applications with Informatica IDMC using batch processes, API calls, and message queues.

In-depth knowledge of at least one relational databases (e.G., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).

Experience with data warehousing concepts and methodologies (e.G., Kimball, Inmon).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex data integration challenges.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Experience with Agile methodologies in a fast-paced, iterative environment.

Desired Skills

Experience with cloud platforms (e.G., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-based data integration tools.

Knowledge of data quality tools and techniques.
