Fellow Actuary – Indian Insurance (Bangalore)

We are hiring on behalf of one of our esteemed clients — a leading Indian insurance organization — for the position of Fellow Actuary based in Bangalore .

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified actuary to contribute to key actuarial functions including valuation, pricing, product development, and risk management within the Indian insurance landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Lead actuarial workstreams such as pricing, reserving, valuation, capital management, and business planning.

Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations and other applicable actuarial standards.

Support financial reporting, embedded value, and solvency capital calculations.

Provide actuarial inputs for strategic business initiatives and reinsurance structures.

Mentor actuarial students and contribute to professional development within the team.

Collaborate closely with Finance, Risk, and Product teams to ensure robust actuarial governance.

Qualifications & Skills

Mandatory Qualification : Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI) or an equivalent recognized actuarial body.

Experience : Minimum 5+ years of actuarial experience, preferably within the Indian insurance sector .

Strong knowledge of Indian insurance products, regulations, and reserving frameworks.

Proficiency in actuarial tools (Prophet, MoSes, R, Python, or similar).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
