Position : Part-Time Physician Annotator
Location : India (Remote / On-site)
Experience : PhD in Cell Biology / Molecular Biology or a related field
Language Proficiency : Strong English language skills (written and verbal)
Role Overview :
We are seeking a detail-oriented Scientific Image Annotator to support our cell biology research,
focusing on HCT-116 human colon cancer cell line viability and morphology analysis. The
successful candidate will be responsible for accurately labeling components in high-content
microscopy images to train machine learning models. The role requires adherence to stringent
quality standards and the ability to apply feedback in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Image Annotation : Precisely annotate microscopy images based on established cell
biology criteria.
2. Viability Assessment : Accurately label live cells (cell-permeant fluorescent dye precursor
markers) and dead cells (using markers for membrane compromise).
3. Artifact / Debris Identification : Isolate and label non-cellular elements, including air
bubbles, cell debris, and cellular aggregates.
4. Quality Assurance : Ensure high annotation consistency and adherence to predefined
labeling protocols specific to fluorescent microscopy techniques.
