Salesforce Commerce Cloud Architect

Experience Required : 10–13 years

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead end-to-end architecture design and implementation for Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) solutions.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable architecture.
  • Define and enforce SFCC coding standards, best practices, and technical guidelines across development teams.
  • Provide technical leadership during all phases of the project lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
  • Architect and implement integrations with third-party systems including OMS, PIM, CRM, payment gateways, and marketing platforms.
  • Conduct architecture reviews, performance tuning, and ensure the solution adheres to enterprise standards.
  • Mentor and guide developers and tech lead across multiple teams.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that align with business goals.
  • Participate in client-facing discussions and provide architectural thought leadership.

Technical Skills :

  • 9+ years of experience in eCommerce, with at least 8+ years in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (B2C).
  • Strong expertise in SFCC development including Controllers, ISML templates, pipelines (if applicable), cartridges, and integrations.
  • Experience with SFRA, PWA and legacy Site Genesis architecture.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, and server-side JS used in SFCC.
  • Deep understanding of SFCC APIs, OCAPI, SCAPI, and Einstein features.
  • Experience integrating with third-party services such as payment processors, inventory, shipping, PIM, and analytics platforms.
  • Solid knowledge of DevOps practices, CI / CD, and version control systems (Git).
  • Hands-on experience with SFCC Business Manager and deployment tools.
  • Strong understanding of performance optimization, caching strategies, and SEO for eCommerce.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Salesforce certifications (B2C Commerce Architect, B2C Developer, etc.) are a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
