Powerbuilder Developer -.Net Technologies

Job Description :

The developer will be responsible for but not limited to upgrade, design, develop, test, debug / troubleshoot and maintain the continuity of the application availability of the system, specifically working with PowerBuilder and .Net technologies.

The Developer will analyze the reported bugs, modify or develop code to resolve the issue, test the resolution that is ideal for the software product.

The Developer will be required to analyze any new enhancements to the existing application, provide the LOE, develop, test, deploy and provide necessary post deployment support. Developer should be able analyze and resolve production tickets with quick turnaround time.

The Developer will perform day-to-day duties with little technical assistance from the project lead. Developer will be able to work in a fast pace, often changing environments typical to the industry standard.

Requirements / Qualifications :

• 5 - 7 years of experience in software development using PowerBuilder and .Net and C# programming language, experience in other programming languages is a plus.
• Worked in developing large and complex PowerBuilder applications with or without using PFC is plus.
• Must have strong experience using PowerBuilder native source control and preparing applications for deployment.
• Must have experience developing PowerBuilder or.Net applications that consumes web services.
• Must have strong experience in procedures, functions, analytics functions.Develop and maintain Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, SQL statements in any SQL background.
• Performance Tuning including tuning / optimizing SQL.
• Performs enhancements and bug fixes as required.
• Works with Development and QA team understand the business requirements, functional and technical specifications.
• Experience working in agile methodologies.
• Maintain re-useable development standards that help implement each solution and / or enhancements to existing systems to meet current and future needs.
• Self-starter, ability to work with minimal supervision and to be able to work with team and follow the direction from the development director.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
• Able to communicate to all team members effectively and efficiently and above all be a team player who is solution-oriented, strived to deliver top-quality products.
