Senior Industrial Designer

About the Role

We’re looking for a seasoned hybrid builder who thinks like a designer and executes like a hardware product manager. You’ll own products end-to-end : from insights and early sketches → prototyping, tooling, testing → certifications, manufacturing → launch.

This role requires someone who obsesses over aesthetics, engineering, quality, timelines, consumers, and costs   all at once.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead product design from concept sketches to CAD, CMF, prototyping, EVT / DVT / PVT, and golden sample approvals.
• Develop and own the CMF strategy : materials, finishes, textures, coatings, durability validation.
• Collaborate with tooling vendors, ODM / OEM factories, and manufacturing partners to ensure feasibility, DFM, DFA, and smooth transition from proto → mass production.
• Conduct competitor teardowns, benchmarking, and usability studies to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Run consumer interviews, prototype testing, and incorporate insights into rapid iterations.
• Write PRDs and collaborate with design, engineering, and supply chain teams to translate insights into execution.
• Analyze pricing models and competitive landscapes to support product positioning and recommendations.
• Work with the supply chain on BOM finalization, vendor qualification, SKD / CKD strategy, cost negotiation, and NPI sequencing.
• Define product roadmaps, business cases, feature prioritization, and pricing strategies.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with design, engineering, operations, QC, marketing, and leadership teams.
• Oversee packaging briefs, accessory planning, instruction manuals, and unboxing experience.
