Job description

We are seeking a Senior Manager - Global HEOR Economic Modeling Leader to serve as a technical and operational leader for a team of Global HEOR Economic Modelers. This vital role is responsible for overseeing the development of innovative and scientifically rigorous economic models that support Amgen's global market access and pricing strategies . The ideal candidate will have a deep expertise in health economic modeling, a proven track record of supporting HTA submissions, and the ability to mentor a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Development : Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Global HEOR Economic Modelers, fostering a culture of dedication and continuous professional growth. You will be responsible for hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Technical Oversight : Provide technical direction for the development of various economic models, including cost-effectiveness / cost-utility (e.g., markov, partitioned survival model) and budget impact analyses.
  • Strategic Alignment : Ensure the alignment of all modeling activities with HEOR TA Heads and product strategies. You will maintain an expert-level understanding of global HTA requirements and evolving payer needs, integrating them into the team's approaches.
  • Innovation & Quality Control : Drive innovation and standardization in health economic modeling methodologies. You will oversee all model documentation, ensuring quality control and compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Process Improvement : Continuously improve workflows, tools, and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and quality of the team's work. This includes exploring the innovative use of artificial intelligence to boost efficiency.

Qualifications

  • A Doctorate, Master's, Bachelor's, or Diploma degree in Health Economics, Econometry, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Engineering , or a related field.
  • A minimum of experience in health economic modeling within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or consulting sectors.
  • Proven experience in a team management capacity.
  • A consistent track record of supporting HTA submissions and payer evidence generation globally.
  • Expert proficiency with modeling and statistical tools such as Excel, R, SAS, or STATA .
  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Deep knowledge of HTA processes and payer landscapes across major markets.
