Role Summary
Our client — a leading name in the cement manufacturing industry — is undergoing a large-scale Operational Transformation engagement led by ansoim . To accelerate its digital journey, the organisation is looking for a Digital Transformation Leader who can connect the dots between process excellence, technology, and people behavior.
The Digital Transformation Leader will spearhead the organisation's digitalization journey across all functions — from plant operations to customer engagement. This role will drive end-to-end digital initiatives including IIoT deployment, process automation, app and portal development, analytics enablement, and enterprise systems integration. The leader will partner closely with business and transformation teams (including ansoim) to translate operational needs into digital solutions that enhance visibility, agility, and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and execute the organisation's Digital Transformation Roadmap aligned with the ongoing business transformation program.
- Identify opportunities for digital enablement across production, maintenance, quality, logistics, sales, and supply chain.
- Establish digital maturity milestones and KPIs linked to ROI and operational excellence.
2. IIoT & Process Digitalization
Lead implementation of IIoT systems for real-time machine data, energy monitoring, and predictive maintenance.Collaborate with process teams to integrate data capture from sensors, PLCs, and SCADA into centralized dashboards.Drive automation and data flow from shop floor to top floor (MES / ERP).3. Application & Platform Development
Oversee the development of mobile apps, web platforms, and internal portals for production reporting, employee engagement, and management reviews.Ensure UI / UX alignment with field realities and user adoption.Manage external development partners and ensure secure, scalable, and compliant solutions.4. Digital Governance & Change Management
Establish digital governance structures and project management frameworks.Drive user adoption through training, communication, and behavioral change programs.Partner with HR and Transformation Office to embed digital practices into daily operations.6. Website, Branding & Digital Presence
Oversee corporate website , customer portal, and digital communication tools.Collaborate with marketing and IT for digital brand alignment and customer experience.Qualifications
Bachelor's in Engineering or Computer Science; MBA preferred.10–15 years of experience in Digital Transformation, Industry 4.0, IIoT, or Smart Manufacturing within heavy industries (Cement, Steel, Chemicals, or Engineering).Proven track record of implementing large-scale digital initiatives across plant and corporate functions.Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, ERP systems, MES, cloud analytics, and low-code app platforms.Strong stakeholder management and vendor coordination skills.Passion for bridging technology with human behavior — ensuring solutions that people use and believe in.Skills Required
