Role - Teradata Database Admin
Desired Experience Range - 6-10 Years
Location of Requirement - Chennai / Kolkata
Desired Competencies (Technical / Behavioral Competency)
Must-Have
Support Teradata environment that will include configuration, administration and maintenance of production environments
Experience in Teradata upgrade planning, analysis and pre and post validation
Produce with best practices and document the process
Co-ordinating with developers and application support teams or teams and implementing changes
Monitoring and working on tickets and adhering to agreed SLA's
Monitor the database activity in Viewpoint and act accordingly to throttle the load and monitor business users query load
Work closely with vendor to support and manage Hardware / software failures
Create, document, and administer, and document database backup and recovery plans, capacity plans and security plans to meet project requirements
Recommend and implement a detailed security as per policy
Extensive use of system tables for system and query level tuning
Working on automations for manual tasks
Perform backup and restore activities
Ready work in 24X7 support model
User and access management
Good-to-Have
Scripting & Automation knowledge
Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
Providing 24x7 supports to customer environment
Responsible for Alert Management, Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management
Monitoring troubleshoot and resolve P1,P2,P3 and P4 incident tickets
Assisting Users located in USA, coordinating with different vendors
