MedGenome is the founding member of GenomeAsia 100K, an initiative to sequence 100,000 Genomes in Asia.

We have an exciting opportunity for the position of Bioinformatics Quality Engineer in Bengaluru location. It is a full time and work from office opportunity.

Skills and Experience Required :

• 3–4 years’ hands-on experience with clinical NGS pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python, R, Bash; Linux / Unix, Mysql etc.
• Familiarity with variant calling, annotation tools, and clinical databases (ClinVar, gnomAD, COSMIC).
• Strong understanding of CAP / NABL compliance, QC, and clinical reporting standards.
• Develop, validate, and optimize NGS pipelines (WGS, WES, panels, RNA-seq, HLA).
• Define and monitor QC metrics; troubleshoot sequencing and analysis failures.
• Automate workflows using Python / R / Bash and workflow managers (Nextflow, Snakemake, etc.).
• Ensure compliances with CAP, NABL for clinical datasets.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, validation reports, and audit trails.
• Manage secure data archival, retrieval, and reporting for clinical studies.
• Collaborate with cross teams, reporting teams, lab teams, production and software engineers; mentor junior analysts.

Educational Qualification :

Master’s in Bioinformatics / Genomics / Computational Biology (PhD a plus).
