About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant / Finance Executive to manage day-to-day financial operations in a fast-paced startup environment. The ideal candidate should be comfortable multitasking, working independently and handling end-to-end accounting processes with accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

1. Day-to-Day Accounting

Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).

Prepare and record journal entries, maintain general ledgers and reconcile accounts.

Monitor cash flow, bank balances and ensure timely vendor payments.

2. Financial Reporting & Compliance

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.

Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including GST, TDS, PF, ESI and other tax filings.

Coordinate with auditors for internal / external audits and ensure timely closure of financial books.

3. Payroll & Expense Management

Process monthly payroll and maintain employee reimbursement / expense records.

Verify and approve expense claims in alignment with company policies.

4. Startup-Focused Financial Operations

Support founders with financial projections, MIS reports and investor-ready data.

Help set up financial processes, controls and automation to scale operations.

Track burn rate, runway and provide insights into cost optimization.

5. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

Maintain vendor contracts, payment cycles and credit terms.

Coordinate with banks, financial institutions and internal teams for financial operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA Inter preferred but not mandatory).

2–5 years of hands-on experience in accounting or finance.

Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, bookkeeping and statutory compliance.

Proficiency with accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar).

Advanced MS Excel skills for reporting and financial analysis.

Strong attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently in a dynamic startup environment.
