Job Overview

The position of System Administrator is responsible for overseeing, maintaining and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks and system software.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Install configure and maintain servers operating systems and applications.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure availability reliability and security of IT systems.
  • Manage user accounts permissions access rights and storage allocations.
  • Perform regular system backups updates and disaster recovery operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system hardware and network issues promptly.
  • Administer and maintain virtualization platforms VMware Hyper-V etc.
  • Ensure security through access controls firewalls antivirus and data protection measures.
  • Manage patch updates system upgrades and capacity planning.
  • Collaborate with IT support teams to assist users with technical issues and system access.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations changes and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies and data protection regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Windows / Linux servers and Active Directory administration.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies VMware Hyper-V KVM.
  • Familiarity with network administration TCP / IP DNS DHCP VPN firewalls.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms AWS Azure or Google Cloud is an advantage.
  • Proficiency with backup and recovery tools and system monitoring software.
  • Strong understanding of IT security practices and access management.
  • Excellent troubleshooting analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under pressure.

  • Relevant certifications preferred :
  • Microsoft Certified : System Administrator / Azure Administrator.
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer RHCE.
  • CompTIA Server+ / Network+.
