Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mainframe DB2 Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and other mainframe technologies. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining applications that interface with DB2 on IBM Mainframe systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, JCL, and CICS.
Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning in DB2.
Analyze user requirements and translate them into system specifications and technical solutions.
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, system integration testing, and UAT support.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, QA, and Infrastructure teams.
Ensure high quality and timely delivery of software solutions.
Handle batch processing, data migration, and data reconciliation tasks as needed.
Provide production support and troubleshoot DB2-related performance and data issues.
Maintain technical documentation and adhere to coding standards and compliance policies.

Required Skills & Experience :

6 to 13 years of hands-on experience in Mainframe development.

Strong expertise in COBOL, DB2, JCL, and CICS.

Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries and DB2 stored procedures.

Experience in batch and online processing on IBM Mainframe systems.

Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
