Role - Devops Engineer

About Us :

We are a fast-paced organization operating in the algorithmic trading domain. We are looking for a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to lead infrastructure initiatives and drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate should have 4–6 years of experience, a strong grasp of automation and cloud technologies, and a passion for high-performance trading environments.

Key Responsibilities :

• Infrastructure Strategy & Design : Architect and evolve scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure supporting global algorithmic trading operations.
• System Optimization : Continuously monitor and optimize infrastructure and systems performance, including Linux servers and Python environments.
• Incident & Risk Management : Lead incident response for live trading systems, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions.
• Automation & CI / CD : Develop, maintain, and enhance CI / CD pipelines and infrastructure automation using tools like Ansible, Docker, Jenkins, or equivalent.
• Monitoring & Alerts : Design and implement proactive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure high system availability.
• Workflow Orchestration : Manage and optimize complex workflows using Apache Airflow, including custom DAG development and performance tuning.
• Database Management : Administer relational databases, write optimized SQL queries for operational reporting and decision-making.
• Cross-functional Collaboration : Serve as a bridge between development, QA, and trading teams, offering operational insights and support.
• Compliance & Documentation : Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain detailed documentation of systems, configurations, and incident reports.
• Mentorship : Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior DevOps team members.

Requirements :

o Advanced Linux system administration.

o Strong Python scripting and automation skills.

o Experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).

o Docker containerization and orchestration.

o CI / CD tools ( e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

o Strong SQL skills; experience with performance tuning.

o Familiarity with Airflow, monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana), and log aggregation (ELK, Loki).

o Prior experience in live trading environments.

o NISM certification or exposure to trading regulations.

o Proven leadership and team collaboration.

o Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

o Clear, concise communication and documentation abilities.

o High ownership mindset and a proactive approach to challenges.
