Description : Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly analytical and business-savvy Business Intelligence & Insights Lead to serve as the organizations primary data expert.
This role is responsible for transforming complex business data into strategic, actionable insights that drive executive decision-making across all functions including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Product Development, Finance, and Customer Success.
As an individual contributor, you will combine advanced statistical analysis, data engineering concepts, and visualization capabilities to deliver a complete 360 view of organizational performance.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, and the ability to translate data into compelling narratives that influence leadership outcomes.
Key Responsibilities :
Data Analysis & Modeling :
- Perform advanced statistical analyses, predictive modeling, and forecasting to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Apply machine learning techniques (regression, clustering, classification) for business insights and future-state modeling.
- Design and execute hypothesis-driven analytics to support strategic planning and operational optimization.
Business Intelligence & Reporting :
Develop and maintain robust BI dashboards and automated reports using Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent visualization platforms.Build and standardize reporting frameworks that integrate data from multiple business systems (CRM, ERP, Marketing Automation, etc.).Ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of KPIs and metrics across departments.Data Strategy & Governance :
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify analytical requirements, data quality issues, and improvement areas.Partner with data engineering teams to ensure data pipelines, warehouses, and models align with business analytics goals.Define and implement best practices for data validation, cleansing, and metadata management.Insight Generation & Storytelling :
Translate analytical findings into clear business insights and actionable recommendations for senior leadership.Create data narratives and visualizations that effectively communicate performance drivers and growth levers.Drive strategic initiatives by connecting data-driven evidence to business challenges and opportunities.Leadership & Culture Enablement :
Champion a culture of evidence-based decision-making across the organization.Provide thought leadership on advanced analytics, KPI frameworks, and BI best practices.Mentor business teams in interpreting data insights and leveraging analytics tools for operational excellence.Qualifications & Technical Skills :
Education :
Masters degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.Experience :
7+ years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Applied Statistics roles.Proven success in designing and delivering enterprise-level BI solutions and analytical models.Technical Proficiency :
Languages : SQL (advanced), Python or R for data wrangling, statistical modeling, and automation.Visualization Tools : Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent BI platforms.Data Handling : Experience with data warehousing (Snowflake, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, or similar).Statistics & ML : Regression, forecasting, clustering, time-series analysis, and hypothesis testing.Version Control & CI / CD : Familiarity with Git, data pipelines, and analytics deployment processes is a plus.(ref : hirist.tech)
