Magnivia Ventures Innovation Foundation (MVIF) is a not-for-profit deep-tech initiative of Magnivia Ventures enabling lab-to-market translation across frontier sectors such as aerospace, defence, mobility, materials science, and energy technologies. We operate through a Centre of Excellence (CoE) model that brings together :
1. Cutting-edge research from academic and scientific institutions,
2. Industry and government partners for real-world validation, and
3. Commercialization frameworks for building scalable deep-tech ventures.
While MVIF supports multiple sectors, this specific EIR role is dedicated to our Energy Tech Program — focused on building transformative ventures in the energy domain.
About the Energy Tech Program
The Energy Tech Program at MVIF aims to develop ventures across areas such as :
1. Energy storage & battery tech
2. Power electronics & grid intelligence
3. Renewable generation technologies
4. Hydrogen & alternative fuels
5. Carbon capture, utilization & reduction
6. Advanced materials for energy systems
7. Industrial decarbonization solutions
The goal is to identify high-potential innovations and convert them into deployable, commercially scalable ventures.
Entrepreneur-in-Residence Opportunity (Energy Tech Program)
MVIF invites applications for an Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) who will work directly with the Director's Office to conceptualize, validate, and build a deep-tech venture in the Energy Tech space. This is not a typical employment role — it is an intensive venture-building opportunity requiring ownership, clarity, and a founder's mindset.
Roles & Responsibilities :
As an EIR in the Energy Tech Program, you will :
1. Identify, validate, and build a venture centered on a high-impact Energy Tech innovation.
2. Collaborate with researchers, technology labs, industrial partners, and policy stakeholders.
3. Lead strategic decisions across technology development, pilot design, partnerships, and market pathways.
4. Drive execution from concept → prototype → pilot → early commercialization.
5. Work closely with the Director's Office for guidance, feedback, and venture-building support.
Ideal Candidate Profile :
You are likely a strong fit if you :
1. Have previous entrepreneurial experience, including a failed or unfinished venture, and can clearly articulate the learning.
2. Are motivated to build again, this time in the Energy Tech domain.
3. Have strong technical expertise in energy systems OR strong business / strategic acumen in energy markets.
4. Are comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and high-ownership execution.
5. Display ambition, resilience, and commitment to solving deep energy challenges.
