Role Overview :
The US Tax Leader will spearhead the India-based team of US tax professionals and play a pivotal role in building, mentoring, and scaling the practice. This position combines strategic leadership, operational oversight, and people development, while closely collaborating with US-based stakeholders to deliver exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the India Tax function, ensuring seamless alignment with the US leadership team.
- Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of US tax professionals.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including staffing, utilization, and performance management.
- Provide strategic input on talent acquisition, development, and retention.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the India team and US offices to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with local management to establish best practices and operational excellence.
- Guide senior team members (Manager level and above) on technical, leadership, and engagement management aspects.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
Qualifications :
Enrolled Agent (EA), Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or MS in Taxation.Minimum of 18 years of progressive experience in US Tax within professional services or global delivery environments.Desired Attributes :
