Role Overview :
We are seeking a visionary Chief Information Officer (CIO) with proven expertise in the manufacturing domain, some of which preferably in auto ancillary or components.
The CIO will lead digital and IT transformation across multi-plant, global operations, ensuring robust cybersecurity, optimizing ERP systems, and adopting next-generation technologies such as AI, blockchain, IoT, and Industry 4.0 to drive efficiency, scalability, and competitive :
Strategic Leadership :
- Develop and execute the IT roadmap aligned with auto component manufacturing objectives.
- Drive global digital transformation initiatives to enable smart factories, connected supply chains, and operational excellence.
- Evaluate and deploy advanced technologies (AI, blockchain, IoT, robotics, Industry 4.0) across multiple plants.
IT Budgeting & Governance :
Manage and optimize IT budgets across domestic and international operations.Establish governance frameworks, compliance, and reporting standards for global IT operations.Technology Implementation & Management :
Lead deployment and harmonization of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) across plants and regions.Oversee IT infrastructure modernization, enterprise applications, cloud adoption, and centralized data management.Drive analytics, automation, and AI adoption for predictive insights and efficiency gains.Cybersecurity & Risk Management :
Implement enterprise-wide cybersecurity and data protection strategies across all plants and geographies.Ensure compliance with global and industry-specific standards (ISO, IATF 16949, GDPR, etc.).Establish strong disaster recovery and business continuity plans.Leadership & Collaboration :
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT team across multiple locations.Collaborate with cross-functional leaders in operations, supply chain, finance, and production.Manage global vendor ecosystems and strategic technology & Skills :Bachelors / Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; MBA preferred.15 to 25 years of IT experience with at least 8+ years in senior IT leadership roles in manufacturing, preferably some of which should be in auto components.Proven expertise in multi-plant, global IT leadership, driving ERP (SAP / Oracle) implementations and enterprise-wide IT transformations.Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, compliance, and IT risk management frameworks.Some experience with AI, blockchain, IoT, cloud platforms, and Industry 4.0 applications.Demonstrated success in managing global IT budgets, governance, and high-impact digital programs.Excellent leadership, cross-cultural collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.(ref : hirist.tech)
