Job description : Concept 3D Designer

Location : Yelahanka, Bangalore

About The Gig

We are looking for a highly creative and technically proficient Concept 3D Designer who can translate design sketches and ideas into compelling 3D forms with speed, accuracy, and imagination. The ideal candidate thrives in early-stage design exploration, can rapidly visualize complex forms, and has an exceptional sense of proportion, surface, and volume.

What You'll Do

  • Transform 2D concept sketches and design directions into accurate, expressive 3D models and visualizations.
  • Build and iterate on volumes, proportions, and surface transitions rapidly to support design intent.
  • Collaborate closely with concept designers, CMF, and digital modeling teams to refine design feasibility.
  • Create high-quality 3D concept models and sculpts that communicate design language effectively.
  • Contribute to ideation and form exploration through quick mock-ups, shape sketches, and sculpted studies.
  • Maintain organized file structures and ensure deliverables align with project timelines.
  • A fast, intuitive thinker with strong visualization and spatial reasoning skills.
  • Passionate about bringing ideas to life in 3D form.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative creative environment.
  • Detail-oriented, with an artistic eye and technical rigor.
  • A collaborative team player who values design intent and creative synergy.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, 3D Design, Animation, or equivalent.
  • 2–5 years of experience in a design studio or creative production environment preferred.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing 3D concept exploration, form development, and quick ideation is required.
  • Blender, Autodesk Maya, and Autodesk Alias – must be highly proficient.
  • Strong understanding of 3D volume building, proportion, surface quality, and form aesthetics.
  • Ability to interpret hand sketches and translate them into coherent 3D expressions.
  • Familiarity with subdivision modeling, NURBS, and sculpting workflows.
  • Experience with rendering tools (KeyShot, Blender Cycles, Arnold, etc.) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of automotive, product, or transportation design modeling workflows preferred.
