Market Research will be responsible for leading market intelligence and research initiatives to provide actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions, product portfolio development, and marketing effectiveness within the pharmaceutical and healthcare domain. The role requires a combination of scientific understanding, analytical ability, and strategic thinking.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Market Research & Analysis
Design, plan, and execute qualitative and quantitative research projects to understand market dynamics, therapy area trends, and customer needs.
Conduct primary research with healthcare professionals, patients, and distributors, and analyze secondary data from industry sources (e.g., IQVIA, CMARC, AWACS).
Track market share, brand performance, and competitor activities regularly.
2. Business Insights & Strategy Support
Analyze data to identify opportunities for brand growth, product positioning, and portfolio expansion.
Provide insights and recommendations to marketing, sales, and product management teams.
Support forecasting and annual business planning with robust market intelligence.
3. Competitive & Therapeutic Landscape Analysis
Monitor competitor launches, promotional strategies, and pricing trends.
Prepare in-depth reports on therapy area evolution, emerging molecules, and customer preferences.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with marketing, medical, regulatory, and sales teams to translate insights into strategic actions.
Manage and coordinate with external research agencies for project execution.
5. Reporting & Presentation
Create dashboards, presentations, and reports summarizing key insights and recommendations for senior management.
Present findings in management reviews and strategy meetings.
Qualifications & Experience :
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) –
mandatory
MBA in Marketing / Market Research / Business Analytics –
preferred
Experience :
5–10 years of experience in
market research, business analytics, or competitive intelligence
within the
pharmaceutical / healthcare industry .
Experience in handling both
primary and secondary research projects .
Prior exposure to
IQVIA / CMARC / AWACS data
preferred.
Skills & Competencies :
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, SPSS, or other analytical tools.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Sound understanding of pharmaceutical market dynamics and therapy areas.
Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
