Job Summary
The Chief of Staff will work closely with the CEO / Leadership team to drive strategic initiatives, streamline operations, manage key business priorities, and ensure effective execution across teams. The role requires a highly proactive, analytical, and business-oriented professional with strong stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Execution
- Support leadership in defining strategic priorities and managing execution across business units.
- Drive key projects and initiatives end-to-end, ensuring timelines and outcomes are met.
- Track OKRs / business KPIs and highlight risks, gaps, and interventions.
2. Business Reviews & Governance
Prepare business performance dashboards, monthly / quarterly review decks, and board presentations.Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Risk, Operations, Compliance, Tech, Product, Sales).Ensure decision-making is data-driven and aligned with organizational goals.3. Leadership Support
Act as a thought partner to the CEO in planning, prioritization, and communication.Manage CEO’s office activities including follow-ups, action tracking, and stakeholder communication.Represent leadership in internal discussions where required.4. Operational Excellence
Identify process gaps and drive improvements across functions.Enhance governance mechanisms to ensure timely closure of action items.Ensure alignment of cross-functional teams on key initiatives.5. Communication & Stakeholder Management
Draft internal notes, communication, and executive updates for senior management.Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders like regulators, partners, and vendors.Lead interdepartmental coordination to ensure seamless flow of information.Required Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.Excellent communication and executive presence.Ability to influence without authority and manage senior stakeholders.High ownership, agility, and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.Good understanding of Broking, Capital Markets, or BFSI domain (preferred).Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and business reporting.Qualifications
MBA / PGDM from a top B-school (IIMs, ISB, XLRI, SPJIMR, NMIMS, MDI, etc.).9–14 years of experience in Strategy, CEO’s Office, Consulting, Business Operations, or PMO roles in financial services / broking.Additional Preferences
Prior experience in a broking or capital markets environment is an advantage.Exposure to managing large-scale projects and senior leadership engagements.Ability to multitask and handle confidential information.
