Base Location: Chennai (Commute to Site based on project execution)

Job Description

Arudra Engineers Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Corrosion Engineer – Coatings with hands-on site experience in protective coating applications and inspections. The candidate will support coating execution, quality control, and compliance with international standards across industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor protective coating application activities at site
• Ensure surface preparation and coating application are as per approved procedures and specifications
• Conduct and record DFT, surface profile, ambient condition, and visual inspections
• Verify compliance with ISO, SSPC, NACE, and client specifications
• Coordinate with applicators, site engineers, and QA/QC teams
• Prepare daily inspection reports, NCRs, and coating documentation
• Assist in troubleshooting coating failures and rectification activities
• Ensure adherence to HSE standards during coating operations

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Engineering or relevant technical discipline
• NACE CIP Level 1 – Certified
• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial coating or corrosion protection projects
• Practical knowledge of surface preparation methods (abrasive blasting, power tool cleaning, hydrojetting)
• Familiarity with epoxy, PU, polyurea, and chemical-resistant coating systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical datasheets and inspection procedures
• Willingness to travel and work at project sites

Preferred Experience

• Experience in power plants, process industries, FGD, pipelines, tanks, or cooling water systems
• Exposure to high-performance coating systems
