About the university
The University of Notre Dame Australia is a private Catholic University with over 1,000 permanent staff providing an exceptional educational experience to over 12,000 students across our Fremantle, Broome, and Sydney campuses, as well as clinical schools in Victoria and New South Wales.
About the role
The position is a National role in the National School of Medicine, to oversee the Rural Clinical Schools and rural experiences. The position is a senior leadership role that reports to the Dean of Medicine.
Key Responsibilities
staff; stakeholder consultation; negotiating contracts; reporting requirements and agreements in close collaboration with the Dean of Medicine
Qualifications, skills & experience
Level D (Associate Professor)
A Level D Academic Employee will normally have the same skill base as a Level C Academic Employee. In addition there is a requirement for academic excellence which may be evidenced by an outstanding contribution to teaching and / or research and / or the profession. A Level D Academic Employee is expected to make a significant contribution to all activities of the organisational unit or interdisciplinary area and play a significant role within their profession or discipline. An Academic Employee at this level may be appointed in recognition of distinction in their disciplinary area
Level E (Professor)
A Level E Academic Employee is expected to exercise a special responsibility in providing leadership in fostering excellence in research, teaching, professional activities and policy development in the Academic discipline within the department or other comparable organisational unit, within the institution and within the community, both scholarly and general. A Level E Academic Employee will have the same skill base as a Level D Academic Employee but will be recognised as a leading authority in the relevant discipline area.
