Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finacle Test Engineer to join our QA team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, executing, and maintaining test cases and test scripts across various Finacle modules. Your role will involve functional and non-functional testing of Finacle implementations, upgrades, and patch rollouts, ensuring software quality and system stability.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various Finacle modules (e.g., CASA, Loans, Payments, Trade Finance, Treasury, CRM).
  • Conduct functional, regression, system integration (SIT), and UAT testing for Finacle implementations, upgrades, or patch rollouts.
  • Perform SQL-based backend validation and data integrity checks in Finacle databases.

Analyze requirements, identify gaps, and raise clarifications with business / BA teams.

Log, track, and verify defects using tools such as JIRA, HP ALM / QC, or Bugzilla.

  • Coordinate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Support end-user testing and provide documentation for test scenarios, results, and bug reports.
  • Participate in release validation and deployment testing activities in production or staging environments.
  • Experience : 3-7 years in software testing, with at least 2+ years of experience in Finacle testing.

    • Technical Skills :

  • Good knowledge of Finacle architecture and module-specific workflows (e.g., FN Accounts, Funds Transfer, CRM, e-Banking, etc.).
  • Hands-on with SQL queries for database validation.
  • Familiarity with Finacle scripting (if applicable) and Finacle database structures.
  • Proficient in using test management and defect tracking tools.
  • Experience in both manual and automated testing (e.g., Selenium, QTP / UFT is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of banking domain concepts, especially in retail, corporate, or digital banking.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Exposure to Finacle customization and parameterization.
  • Experience in Finacle 10.x / 11.x / CBX versions.
  • Basic knowledge of Unix / Linux commands and shell scripting.
  • ISTQB or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Understanding of API testing and tools like Postman, SoapUI.
