Key Responsibilities :
Project Oversight :
- Manage building construction projects from inception to completion
- Oversee all aspects of the construction process, including planning, design, execution, and closeout
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
Technical Expertise :
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of construction sequences and methodologiesPossess in-depth understanding of excavation, piling, and reinforced concrete construction (RCC) workApply technical expertise to resolve complex construction challengesTeam Leadership and Coordination :
Lead and manage the construction team, including subcontractors and laborersCoordinate effectively with design teams, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholdersFoster a collaborative work environment to ensure smooth project executionDesign and Engineering Liaison :
Work closely with design teams to ensure constructability and adherence to project requirementsReview and provide input on design documents, identifying potential issues or improvementsProblem-Solving and Risk Management :
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategiesResolve on-site issues promptly and effectively to minimize project delaysImplement solutions that balance technical, financial, and scheduling considerationsQuality Control and Safety Management :
Establish and maintain high standards of quality throughout the construction processEnsure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standardsImplement and oversee site safety programs to maintain a safe working environmentProject Management and Control :
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocationsMonitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as necessaryPrepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholdersClient Relations :
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycleUnderstand and meet client requirements and expectationsManage client communications and relationships effectivelyProcess Improvement and Standardization :
Implement and maintain standardized site processes and systemsContinuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness in project deliveryContract Administration :
Manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliersEnsure all contractual obligations are met and documented properlyRequired Skills and Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering15-20 years of progressive experience in construction managementStrong technical knowledge of building construction methods and materialsProven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projectsExcellent leadership and team management skillsStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesSuperior communication skills, both written and verbalProficiency in project management software and MS Office suiteThorough understanding of construction safety regulations and quality control standardsExperience with project management consultancy (PMC) is highly preferredSkills Required
