Position Overview :
The State Head will be responsible for overseeing and managing a minimum of 1 GW of wind assets within the designated state. This role requires strong leadership, deep technical expertise in wind technology, and extensive experience managing large-scale wind farm operations. The State Head will work closely with the Wind Business Head to drive operational excellence, optimize performance, and ensure high availability and generation levels across all assets.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and oversee the operations of wind assets totaling a minimum of 1 GW within the designated state.
- Drive asset performance by improving Machine Availability (MA) and Grid Availability (GA) with a focus on minimizing opportunity losses.
- Supervise and coordinate with plant and cluster teams for smooth execution of O&M activities and other operational requirements.
- Liaise with various departments and wings at the Head Office for coordination, reporting, and operational alignment.
- Prepare, process, and monitor monthly budgets; ensure timely fund coordination for operational needs.
- Ensure effective monitoring, maintenance, and performance optimization of all wind plants under management.
- Develop and implement the annual operating plan for the state, driving profitability and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with Integrated Management System (IMS) objectives and targets.
- Provide performance reports on IMS to the SBU Head – Wind.
- Serve as the O&M In-Charge, Management Representative, and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the region.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and investigations of technical failures; implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in wind technology to ensure operational competitiveness.
Position Qualifications :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.18–25 years of experience in the wind industry with strong technical and operational acumen.Proven expertise in WTG and BOP operations and maintenance.Sound understanding of wind plant operations, performance analytics, and contractual obligations.Experience managing large portfolios of wind farm assets and developing strategic partnerships.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Excellent communication and presentation abilities.Highly organized with strong multi-tasking and leadership skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.Willingness to travel extensively across operational sites.Skills Required
