    About the role

    Reporting to the Managing Legal Counsel, this role operates within the Investment Legal team with responsibility for the provision of legal advice and management of legal risk for the Investment Team.

    Partnering and working closely with the Investment Business function and a high performing team of experienced lawyers, this role will be responsible for providing timely, accurate and commercially astute legal advice on Cbus’ investments, supporting the development and implementation of legal processes and procedures; and scoping and overseeing the work of external legal counsel as well as undertaking the legal review and negotiation of contractual documentation, manager and service agreements (including ensuring material service provider arrangements are compliant with CPS230).

    Your success will derive from prior experience as a legal professional preferably gained in an investment management firm, superannuation environment or with a well-regarded law firm or similar in-house environment. This role will involve, providing legal services relating to a variety of complex transactions, corporate law, financial services, investment management and superannuation issues.

    This role would also suit a proactive lawyer who is looking for rewarding development prospects.
