Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Event Streaming & Cloud Integration Developer to design, build, and optimize real-time data streaming and integration solutions across cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Kafka, AWS integration services, and cloud-native microservices architectures, with a focus on delivering scalable, resilient, and secure event-driven systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain event streaming solutions using Apache Kafka and related ecosystem components (Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, Kafka Streams, etc.).
- Implement cloud-native integration patterns leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, SNS, and EventBridge.
- Integrate with on-premise systems and external services using IBM MQ and other messaging frameworks.
- Build microservices-based architectures to enable real-time data flow and processing.
- Ensure end-to-end reliability, scalability, and performance of event-driven applications.
- Collaborate with DevOps and cloud engineering teams to automate deployment and CI / CD pipelines.
- Develop reusable components, frameworks, and best practices for event streaming and integration.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and performance tuning sessions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to streaming pipelines, integration workflows, and cloud deployments.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends in event-driven architecture, cloud integration, and DevOps tooling.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, topics, partitions, schema registry, etc.).Proficiency with AWS services : Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, CloudWatch, and IAM.Experience with IBM MQ or other enterprise messaging systems.Proven expertise in event-driven microservices and cloud-native application development.Solid understanding of integration patterns, messaging paradigms (pub / sub, queueing), and stream processing.Experience with DevOps practices – CI / CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools for streaming and integration workloads.Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or Node.js.Good understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and data serialization formats (Avro, Protobuf, etc.).Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Confluent Kafka, AWS MSK, or Azure Event Hubs.Knowledge of Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools.Exposure to container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.Understanding of security and compliance in cloud and integration environments.AWS Developer or Solutions Architect certification is a plus.Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
