Position Overview :
Dynamic and strategic General Manager – Finance & Accounts to lead the Finance function at Medvarsity . The ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant with aproventrack record of over 10 years in financial leadership roles.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Financial Leadership
o Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
o Partner with the CEO and leadership team on business planning, expansion initiatives, and M&A evaluations.
o Drive budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning at the group level.
Financial Control & Governance
o Ensure accurate, timely monthly / quarterly / year-end reporting.
o Lead statutory audits, internal audits, and compliance with all regulatory and tax requirements.
o Implement and monitor effective internal controls.
Accounting & Financial Operations
o Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, AP / AR, cash flow, working capital management, and payroll.
o Drive automation and digitization of accounting processes and ERP utilization.
o Lead cost control, margin improvement, and cash .
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
o Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing finance and accounts team.
o Collaborate with business teams to drive financial discipline and performance accountability.
o Liaise with external stakeholders including banks, auditors, legal advisors, and tax authorities.
Investor & Board Communication
o Prepare and present financial reports to investors, board members, and external stakeholders.
o Support due diligence processes and funding-related documentation.
Required Qualifications & Experience :
Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10+ years of post-qualification experience.
Prior experience in a leadership finance role in a scaling or high-growth organization(ed-tech, healthcare, or digital businesses preferred).
Deep knowledge of Indian accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory frameworks.
Hands-on experience in financial modelling, budgeting, MIS reporting, and ERPsystems.
