Job description

Company Description

AppUp Labs specializes in designing, developing, publishing, maintaining, and marketing mobile applications for both Android and iOS platforms.

We ship apps in 2 months. Not because we cut corners, but because we use every tool that makes us faster. Cursor IDE, Claude, ChatGPT – if it makes you 10% more productive, we're paying for it. No expense reports. No justifications. Just ship better code, faster.

We're building a feedback analysis platform that uses AI to tell clients what their users actually want. Last week we deployed 7 times. This week might be 10. You'll be writing code that ships to production, not sitting in PR review hell for weeks.

What You'll Actually Build

Week 1 : You're pushing code to our website. Maybe a component. Maybe a fix. But it's live.

Month 1 : You've integrated at least one third-party API, written documentation (yes, it's boring, we still do it), and your code is handling real user data.

Month 3 : You're working on our internal feedback platform. Writing Python scripts for data processing. Building UI that our clients use daily. Deploying features that directly impact our revenue.

Month 6 : You're architecting features, not just implementing them. Making decisions about database structure. Choosing which AI model fits the use case. Working directly with me (the founder) on product direction.

Technical Reality (Updated)

You need right now :

  • NextJS and TypeScript that actually works in production
  • React components that are reusable, not just functional
  • Git beyond the basics (you know what a rebase is)
  • Side projects we can actually click through
  • The ability to implement SEO
  • Exceptional ability to follow the documentation of third-party libraries

You should know (or learn fast) :

  • Supabase for backend (auth, database, real-time)
  • LLM APIs – OpenAI, Anthropic, whatever works best
  • Basic Python (or willingness to learn this month)
  • Automation mindset – if you do it twice, script it
  • Third-party API integration (Stripe, Twilio, you name it)
  • Within 3 months, you'll master :

  • Full stack TypeScript development
  • AI integration that solves real problems
  • Database optimization that handles scale
  • Weekly deployment cycles (daily when needed)
  • Writing documentation that doesn't suck
  • How We Actually Work

    The Good Stuff :

  • Work-life balance that's real : We don't Slack you at 10 PM. Weekends are yours. When you're off, you're off.
  • Unlimited leaves : Take time when you need it. Just communicate. We're adults.
  • Learning budget : Course? Book? Webinar? If it makes you better, we cover it.
  • Tools that work : Spotify for focus. Cursor for coding. Claude Pro. ChatGPT Pro. Whatever makes you faster.
  • Small team, big impact : 6 people total. Your code affects our users immediately.
  • The Real Work :

  • You'll write documentation. It's boring. We do it anyway.
  • SEO isn't optional. Every site we build ranks.
  • We deploy constantly. Your code goes live this week, not next quarter.
  • Automation obsession. Manual work is a bug to be fixed.
  • Internal tools get the same quality as client work.
  • Our Current Build : Feedback Intelligence Platform

You'll be working on this from month one :

  • Collecting feedback from 10+ sources
  • AI analysis using GPT-5 and Claude
  • Dashboard that actually tells clients what to build next
  • Processing 1000s of feedback items daily
  • Real-time insights that affect real products
  • This isn't a side project. It's core to how we serve clients.

    Who This Is Perfect For

    You're right if :

  • You've built something from scratch and can show us the GitHub + live demo
  • You get excited about shipping daily but also about code quality
  • You want to touch everything – frontend, backend, AI, databases
  • You can explain why you chose PostgreSQL over MongoDB (or vice versa)
  • Python doesn't scare you (even if you haven't written it yet)
  • Skip this if :

  • You think documentation is someone else's job
  • "Good enough" is your standard
  • You need detailed specs before writing code
  • Work-life balance means doing the minimum
  • You can't handle "this deployed 5 minutes ago and there's a bug"
  • The Money Part (Transparent Version)

Starting : ₹8,000-18,000 / month based on your current skills Month 6 : If you're shipping quality, expect 30-50% increase Year 1 : Our developers doubled / tripled their starting salary
