What You Will Do
In this role, you will be responsible for the finalisation of books of accounts and the preparation of financial statements and direct taxation matters. Your responsibilities will extend to taxation for the entire Molbio group, including overseas subsidiaries and associate companies.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility, strong cross-functional communication skills, and the ability to learn and adapt independently within Molbio’s team-oriented and innovation-focused culture.
You will also coordinate with various legal entities through dotted-line reporting and work closely with external consultants who support routine activities.

Key Responsibilities
1) Preparation of Financials
- Preparation of financial statements as per Ind AS and other applicable laws and regulations
- Consolidation of subsidiaries and associate companies
- Monthly / quarterly trial balance preparation
- Monthly general ledger scrutiny
- Preparation of data and schedules for statutory, tax, IFC, and internal audits
- Strengthening internal controls and ensuring adherence to RCM for relevant areas
- Maintaining and organizing financial records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality as per company policies
- Assisting in financial planning and budgeting
- Coordinating with other teams, locations, and sites
2) Direct Taxation
Preparation of tax computations, filing of income tax returns, and ensuring timely tax paymentsManaging ongoing income tax assessments and resolving open issues with tax authoritiesPreparing responses to notices and sharing data / information with tax consultantsParticipating in discussions with tax consultants on pending matters with tax authoritiesMonitoring tax positions and tax payoutsSupporting tax and statutory audits, providing required information, and resolving tax-related audit queriesManaging tax impacts, documentation, and compliance for international transactions, including DTAA-related matters3) Other Tax Compliance
Monitoring compliance with Income Tax and Transfer Pricing regulationsEnsuring compliance with various provisions under the Income Tax Act as well as FEMAOverseeing Transfer Pricing compliance for transactions between group companies.Who You Will Work With
You will be part of the Controllership Team and report to the Financial Controller.The Controllership Team is committed to being a valued finance business partner, focusing on providing high-quality accounting services and ensuring timely, accurate compliance and reporting.You will collaborate with internal partners, customers, and stakeholders such as Tax, Legal, Compliance, and other relevant functions, along with various internal and external parties and auditors.The team will consist of 2–3 members.Who You Are
A qualified Chartered Accountant with 5–10 years of experience in the manufacturing industry;experience with Big 4 firms is an added advantage
Strong working knowledge of SAP for accounting and reportingCapable of independently handling finalisation and taxation with a solid understanding of the Income Tax Act, Companies Act, and Ind ASComfortable working in a matrix organization with controllership and compliance objectivesSkilled in teamwork, collaboration, stakeholder management, and project managementExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient in SAP, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other office toolsAble to work effectively as part of a teamWhy Molbio
