Key Responsibilities

• Define technical strategies and lead the design of distributed systems in Java 21 with Spring.
• Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD), event sourcing, and microservices patterns at scale.
• Architect and optimise solutions using relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Couchbase, Cassandra).
• Design and operate event streaming platforms (Kafka) for real-time and scalable data integration.
• Drive adoption of cloud-native practices on Azure with Kubernetes (AKS) and Terraform.
• Build robust CI / CD pipelines and automate quality gates, including security and performance checks.
• Ensure observability and resilience through Splunk dashboards, logging, and alerts.
• Profile, optimise, and debug complex distributed systems.
• Champion best practices in code quality, testing, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and engineers across teams to align business and technical strategies.
• Mentor engineers, support hiring, and contribute to organisational capability building.
• Identify and address architectural gaps to simplify integration with peer systems.
• Consistently lead the delivery of valuable features while driving process improvements.
