Introduction
We are looking for an experienced Content Migration Engineer (m / w / d) to support multiple enterprise-level carve-out and carve-in projects. The role requires hands-on expertise in planning, executing, and automating complex migrations across SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft
Teams .
The ideal candidate will have deep practical experience with ShareGate for SharePoint / OneDrive migrations and Apps4Pro Enterprise for Teams & Planner migrations, along with the ability to work with additional migration tools as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct customer workshops to understand migration needs, business requirements, and technical prerequisites.
- Develop scalable migration concepts, architectures, and strategies aligned with enterprise standards.
- Execute end-to-end migration activities for SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Planner environments.
- Utilize ShareGate, Apps4Pro Enterprise, and other tools to automate migration processes.
- Analyze source and target environments to ensure compatibility and smooth content transfer.
- Manage permissions, metadata, custom configurations, and version histories during migration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, value center experts, and stakeholders to validate and approve migration plans.
- Monitor migration tasks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely completion.
- Document migration steps, risks, mitigation plans, and post-migration validation reports.
- Ensure data integrity, compliance, and security throughout the migration lifecycle.
Required Skills & Experience
6+ years of experience in SharePoint / OneDrive / Teams environments.Strong hands-on experience with :ShareGate (SharePoint & OneDrive migrations)Apps4Pro Enterprise (Teams & Planner migrations)Expertise in Microsoft 365 workloads, including :SharePoint OnlineOneDrive for BusinessMicrosoft TeamsMicrosoft PlannerUnderstanding of Azure AD, permissions, authentication, and governance.Experience in enterprise content migration projects (carve-out / carve-in preferred).Ability to troubleshoot complex migration issues and provide efficient solutions.Strong communication skills for conducting workshops and interacting with stakeholders.Experience with automation scripts (PowerShell preferred) is an advantage.Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with additional migration tools such as :Quest, BitTitan, AvePoint, CloudM, or othersBackground in M365 administration and governanceKnowledge of data classification, compliance, and retention policiesCertification in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, or related technologies
