MasterCAM Engineer (11 / 10 / 2025)

Department : Manufacturing Engineering

Experience : 02-03 years.

Critical Skills & Personal Attributes :

1. Expertise in MasterCAM software for 3 to 5-axis milling operations.

2. Good knowledge of milling processes, cutting tools, feeds and speeds, G & M code and VMC, HMC, 5 axes machine capabilities

3. Solid knowledge of engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

4. Problem solving skills to sort out machining & programming issues, optimize tool path and reduce cycle times.

5. Communicate effectively with machinists, production team for manufacturing requirements

6. Team oriented attitude and flexible with time.

Main responsibility :

1. Generate offline program for milling operations using MasterCAM software based on 3D model & engineering drawings. (For VMC, HMC & 5 axes machines)

2. Simulate and verify toolpaths to prevent collisions before program issuing to shop floor

3. Documentation such as creation of tool cards (set up sheets), tooling lists and operation instructions for machinists. And maintain a library of CNC programs, setup sheets, and related documents on server.

4. Assist VMC, HMC machinists during set up & prove-out phases. Also, should always be ready to make programming adjustments when needed.

5. Ensure that all machining programs meet quality requirements such as dimensional and surface finish requirements.
