Cluster Head - MEP - Real Estate Sector

Job Purpose : Responsible for effective execution of engineering work (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC) along with the site construction team ensuring timely completion, quality and design compliance of the projects including construction and infrastructure.

Key Execute operational plan chalked out by zonal project head and provide support in establishing MEP team structure, resource management, etc. that assures profitability through timely completion of projects and cost effectiveness

2. Plan & Budget for the MEP department and share it with Zonal Project Heads at the start of the FY.

3. Deploy resources for MEP on various sites as per requirement shared by the project heads

4. Cascade departmental goals to the individual level for MEP team

5. Ensure design, execution and maintenance of construction power at all the project sites through MEP teams deployed at sites as per requirements

6 Ensure design coordination, execution, testing, commissioning and handover of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and HVAC systems through MEP team as per timelines and requirements

7 Ensure support to architecture team for finalization of drawings generated by design consultants for engineering design

8 Ensure all indents are raised for MEP material to site stores teams as per plan

9 Ensure support to Contracts Team in finalization of eligibility criteria for MEP tenders

10 Ensure execution of fit outs for all sites as per the plan and the design via MEP sub contractors

11. Have sound knowledge of International & Local Building codes of all MEP systems

12 Ensure preparation of QAPs and QA / QCs procedures for MEP material to be used by QHSE team for Quality audits

13. Review and certify monthly invoices for MEP subcontractors & perform audit of their services

14. Review all the reports and trackers on progress of each project to ensure progress is as per plan and take corrective actions as and when required

15. Manage MEP team at all the sites and perform performance appraisal for all the direct reports as per PMS deadlines.

Experience : 15 years of experience in the Projects / MEP in Commercial & Residential with at least 10 years of experience in MEP

Skills & Competencies Required :

Technical Skills : Knowledge of construction industry, contract labour laws budgeting & accounting, and developing and implementing new procedures, codes and standards for building & MEP systems

Behaviour Skills : Decision making ability; Analytical ability; Ability to foster collaborative work environment; Oral & written communication skills

Key Stakeholders :

Internal Stakeholders : CRM (resolving customer complaints) / Project Site Teams (for handover of projects) / Liasioning ( for sanctions & approvals)

External Stakeholders : Sub-contractors, Vendors / Regulatory Authorities
