Job Title : Apprentice Leader – Devops

Experience : 4–7 years

Location : Bangalore (On-site)

Overview

Our client – one of the largest data science companies – is seeking to hire a DevOps Engineer to build and run secure, reliable, and cost-efficient cloud platforms. You’ll automate everything from infrastructure and CI / CD to observability and incident response, partnering closely with product and data / engineering teams to accelerate delivery.

What you’ll do

  • Design & run CI / CD : Build resilient pipelines (build / test / release), implement trunk-based development, feature flags, and blue / green or canary deployments
  • Infrastructure as Code : Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and immutable patterns
  • Containers & Orchestration : Containerize services with Docker and operate them on Kubernetes (or managed equivalents)
  • Observability & Reliability : Define SLIs / SLOs, centralize logs / metrics / traces, and drive incident management, on-call, and post-mortems
  • Security & Compliance : Implement IAM / SSO, secrets management, policy-as-code, vulnerability scanning, and least privilege by default

What you’ll bring

  • Experience : DevOps / SRE / Platform Engineering (or strong software engineering with infra focus)
  • Cloud : Proficiency in Azure cloud
  • IaC & Pipelines : Terraform and CI / CD tools (GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps)
  • Containers : Docker + Kubernetes (Helm / Customize), networking, and service meshes a plus
  • Scripting : Strong in Bash and at least one of Python / Go
  • Observability : Prometheus / Grafana
  • Security : Practical knowledge of secrets management (e.g., Vault / Key Vault), SAST / DAST, and policy-as-code (OPA / Contest)
  • Collaboration : Clear communicator, comfortable partnering with developers, data, and security teams

    • Nice to have

  • Serverless and event-driven patterns (Lambda / Functions, Kafka)
  • Data / ML platform exposure (Airflow, Databricks / EMR, MLflow)
  • Azure certification

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • BE / B. Tech or M. Tech degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
  • Prior experience working in supply chain analytics within CPG companies or consulting engagements
  • Certifications in Power BI, Design of Experiments, or advanced data tools
