Job Summary
At Cuzor, we’re a small team of builders driven by one simple belief : great products can be imagined, engineered, and built right here in India and stand shoulder to shoulder with the best in the world.
We design and manufacture GaN-based chargers and Li-Ion UPS systems, from the first schematic to the final shipped product. Every circuit, every PCB, every test is done in-house by people who care deeply about what they build.
Now, we’re looking for a Power Electronics Engineer to join us, someone hands-on, curious, and excited to push boundaries in GaN design and advanced power systems.
You’ll lead a small team, own designs end-to-end, and see your work go into real products that power homes, devices, and workplaces every day. This isn’t a desk job, it’s a builder’s role at a company where your ideas become hardware.
We aim to be a company of choice, a place where talented engineers feel proud to work, learn, and grow while shaping products that make “Make in India” truly global.
1. Technical Leadership
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of advanced GaN-based fast chargers and Li-Ion UPS systems, setting the technical direction and driving engineering excellence.
- Collaborate closely with industrial designers, technology partners, and the quality assurance team to translate concept into manufacturable, high-reliability products.
- Establish and enforce best practices in power electronics design, ensuring compliance with safety, EMI / EMC, and reliability standards across all product lines.
2. Design & Development
Architect high-efficiency, high-frequency converter topologies — including resonant, quasi-resonant, and soft-switching designs optimised for GaN and SiC devices.Own the schematic design, PCB layout, magnetics design, and thermal management of compact, high-power-density systems.Perform detailed SPICE simulations, thermal and EMI analyses, and design validation through both modelling and empirical testing.Be deeply hands-on from breadboarding and soldering to oscilloscope debugging, firmware interface testing, and system-level performance tuning.3. Collaboration with Industry Leaders
Partner with TI, Infineon, Navitas, and STMicroelectronics to leverage next-generation GaN and SiC platforms, reference designs, and control architectures.Continuously explore new technologies in digital control, magnetics, and thermal design to keep Cuzor products at the forefront of innovation.4. Innovation & Problem Solving
Drive original design innovation — developing proprietary topologies and control techniques to achieve ultra-high efficiency and ultra-low standby power.Lead efforts to analyse, debug, and resolve complex issues related to switching noise, EMI / EMC, transient response, and thermal bottlenecks.Contribute to IP generation, documentation, and long-term technical differentiation of Cuzor’s products.Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.6 to 10 years of hands-on experience in power electronics designProven expertise in high-efficiency AC-DC and DC-DC converter design, including resonant converters and LLC topologies.Proficiency in design software, AltiumStrong understanding of wide-bandgap semiconductors (GaN, SiC) and their applications in power electronics.Extensive experience in EMI / EMC compliance, thermal management, and power density optimisation.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Effective communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and external partners.Must be hands-on with all aspects of power electronics design, testing, and debugging.Preferred Qualifications
Experience in designing GaN-based products for industrial or consumer applications.Hands-on experience in using AltiumFamiliarity with global standards and certifications (e.g., UL, CE).Experience in thermal simulations and reliability testing of GaN-based systems.
