Senior iOS Lead Engineer - SWIFT / Objective C

We are seeking this Sr.iOS Lead Engineer to serve as the technical anchor to lead a squad to success in this high-impact program.

This role demands deep technical expertise of legacy and modern engineering practices and iOS mobile engineering and development experience, with an emphasis on scalable architectures, performance, security, concurrency, and the ability to seamlessly lead a team to refactor and migrate legacy Objective-C mobile application functionality to modern Swift methods.

You will lead and carry out the engineering strategy, code governance, and end-to-end delivery within a highly secure, regulated, and matrixed enterprise where failure is not an option.

Responsibilities :

• Technical Leadership : Serve as the Squad Lead for iOS architecture and technical decisions across a large-scale refactor and modernization initiative. Lead the technical direction for the future state iOS App, balancing innovation with resiliency.
• Architecture and Code Governance : Deeply understand architectural patterns of legacy code in Objective-C and C++ modules to assist with proper future state approaches for modern Swift and SwiftUI paradigms.
• Concurrency and Async Design : Assist with future state engineering direction and the decisions for multi-threaded async architectures that will deliver highly resilient and Reliable UI / UX with extremely high throughput.
• Apple's APIs and Frameworks Expertise : Apply deep knowledge of Apple frameworks (UIKit, CoreData, Combine, etc.), XCode, and internal platform services to design extensible, testable app components.
• Code Composition and Job Construction : Ensure correctness of method calls across languages (e.g., Swift invoking Objective-C with correct threading for UI updates). Codify best practices for building and composing reusable, high-performance services and views.
• Secure Delivery at Scale : Lead design reviews and DevSecOps strategy for secure publishing of the app via the App Store for public and enterprise distribution. Understanding of App Transport Security (ATS), keychain access, and runtime permission flows.
• Cross-functional Collaboration : Partner with backend engineering, product, QA, and cloud operations to ensure seamless end-to-end functionality, especially for real-time trading and transactional systems.
• Mentorship and Leadership : Grow and mentor a team of senior engineers. Foster a culture of engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and :
• 8 to 12 years of progressive experience with mobile engineering and mobile UX / UI, with 6+ years hands-on with current engineering and iOS as app development lead projects at enterprise scale.
• Deep expertise in Objective-C, Swift, SwiftUI, and C++ is also nice to have.
• Extensive experience with Apple APIs, App Lifecycle, multi-threaded architectures, async / await, GCD, Combine, closures, and completion handlers.
• Proven success in migrating large legacy codebases to modern paradigms while ensuring business continuity.
• Familiarity with backend / frontend orchestration in distributed systems, including REST / GraphQL, offline caching, and render optimizations.
• Strong grasp of CI / CD for iOS, including code signing, provisioning profiles, and secure pipeline design.
• Experience leading the development of apps with millions of daily active users, especially in regulated industries (banking, fintech, trading).
• Deep understanding of iOS security, encryption, secure enclaves, keychain services, biometric integration (Face ID / Touch ID), and MDM solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex technical topics to executive stakeholders.
