Job description

5G Transport Network Description :

We are seeking experienced 5G Transport Network Engineers with deep expertise in Cell Site Routers (CSR), Access Routers, and Aggregation Routers used for transporting traffic from 5G Base Stations (gNBs) to the 5G Core network. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in configuring, validating, and optimizing L2 / L3 IP / MPLS-based transport systems for large-scale 5G Responsibilities :

  • Design, configure, and validate transport network components including :

1. Cell Site Routers

2. Access Routers

3. Aggregation Routers

  • Integrate and troubleshoot end-to-end connectivity between 5G RAN (gNB) and 5G Core via transport

    • network.

  • Work with IP / MPLS, Segment Routing (SR-MPLS / SRv6), and Traffic Engineering for high availability and low latency transport.
  • Design and implement large-scale, resilient transport networks using Access Router / Cell Site Router, Pre Aggregation Router, and Aggregation Router to efficiently backhaul mobile traffic from 5G networks.
  • Develop detailed High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs) that translate business and

    • technical requirements into actionable configurations for all transport layers.

  • Hands-on configuration and optimization of routers :
  • Demonstrate proficiency with router CLI commands for various protocols (ISIS, BGP, MPLS).
  • Configure, test, and validate router functionalities and network interoperability aligned with HLD / LLD documents.
  • Ensure seamless integration of new technologies and multi-vendor environments into existing network architectures.
