Role Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Application Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 4-10 years of experience and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mainframe applications.

This role requires strong proficiency in core mainframe technologies and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Application Development : Design, code, test, and debug mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.
  • Maintenance & Enhancement : Maintain and enhance existing mainframe applications to meet evolving business needs.
  • Analysis & Solutions : Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Quality Assurance : Conduct impact analysis, code reviews, and unit testing to ensure high-quality software.
  • Testing & Support : Participate in system integration and user acceptance testing, and provide support for production issues.
  • Documentation : Document technical designs and operational procedures comprehensively.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, QA, and infrastructure teams.

Skills : Required Skills :

  • Professional experience in Mainframe COBOL and IBM z / OS tools.
  • Ability to analyze existing application code and create working flow documentation.
  • Ability to establish a technical test book.
  • Ability to understand and take ownership of a DB2 data model.

    • Technical Skills :

  • Mandatory : Mainframe DB2 - Application Development, COBOL, JCL, and CICS.
  • Nice to Have : IDMS, VSAM, MVS / TSO, Endeavor (or any source repository tool), and IDEM tool.

    • Education & Experience :

  • Education : A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience : A minimum of 4-10 years of professional experience in mainframe application development
