We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to prepare financial reports and ensure compliance with various legal requirements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, managing financial statements, and supervising a team of accounting assistants to uphold the organization's financial integrity.
Roles and Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Analysis :
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Prepare and record entries for assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses.
- Summarize the current financial status by preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
- Analyze financial information, spot errors, and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
Accounting and Auditing :
Maintain the general ledger by transferring group accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting.Assist with annual audit preparations and complete external audits.Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.Maintain and record fixed assets.Compliance and Internal Controls :
Ensure compliance with Income Tax, GST , and other legal requirements.Calculate and submit tax returns.Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.Team and People Management :
Plan, assign, and review the work of accounting assistants and bookkeepers.Manage and mentor the team to ensure high-quality work.Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.Skills Required
Education : A B.Com / M.Com is required.Technical Skills :
Proven experience in preparing financial reports and statements.Strong knowledge of Income Tax, GST , and other legal compliance requirements.Expertise in maintaining the general ledger and reconciling accounts.Leadership and Management :
The ability to plan, assign, and manage the work of a team.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.Skills Required
