About the Role :
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Manager - Procurement to lead sourcing, vendor management, and cost optimization initiatives. The role involves managing end-to-end procurement of materials, ensuring timely availability, cost efficiency, and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage end-to-end procurement for raw materials, consumables, packaging, and services.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships; evaluate and onboard new vendors.
- Conduct negotiations on pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings.
- Ensure timely issuance of purchase orders and delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with production, planning, and finance for smooth supply chain operations.
- Track procurement KPIs - cost savings, lead time, and vendor performance.
- Support audit compliance and maintain complete procurement documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement efficiency and spend management.
Qualifications & Skills :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Supply Chain / Commerce (MBA preferred).6-10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain (preferably in manufacturing / chemical / FMCG sector).Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Coupa) and MS Excel.Knowledge of cost analysis, contract management, and vendor evaluation.Key Competencies :
