Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Cat Modeling Analyst (Insurance) located in Bengaluru, with some work from home permissible. The Cat Modeling Analyst will be responsible for analyzing catastrophe risk, developing and maintaining catastrophe models, performing data analytics, and supporting finance teams with risk assessments. The role involves using statistical methods to model and evaluate potential insurance losses due to natural hazards, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing insights to inform business decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong Analytical Skills and Data Analytics skills
• Proficiency in Statistics and Statistical Modeling
• Experience in Finance and understanding of financial concepts related to insurance risk
• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Finance, or a similar discipline
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
• Prior experience in the insurance industry or catastrophe modeling is a plus
